LEAP – Learn, Exchange, Apply, Practice

LEAP is designed for contemporary dance teachers in Europe to exchange and discuss relevant practices in their teaching methodologies. The project has a further educational goal and builds on a previous EU project called IDOCDE (International Documentation of Contemporary Dance Education) focused on documentation.

LEAP uses the IDOCDE website to communicate the LEAP process and to share results with project partners and the public.
The 2 year project is structured around 4 activities:

LEAP Teaching Residencies
Regular LEAP exchange platforms at all partner organisations for all local dance teachers
TAB: Teaching Across Borders, a teaching exchange among partner organisations
2 international – LEAP/ IDOCDE Symposiums at ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival

LEAP Partners:
ICK - International Choreographic Arts Centre – Marieke van Bueren (Amsterdam, NL)
ISLO - Eastern Finland Sport Institute – Elina Ikonen (Joensuu, FI)
