In residency with project Bent out of shape, dance production created and performed by DEED (Mattias Ekholm and Suzie Davies). Premiere Spring 2018.
We are the result of our history and our history defines who we are. Our bodies are influenced by our daily life experiences, our memories and our emotions. What happens when you are subjected to a life-changing event or illness and the vocabulary of your every day life suddenly changes, forcing you to re-evaluate your identity?
DEED are interested in researching the emotional and physical states linked to an altered set of circumstances, and a sensitive body no longer in control. Looking at the difference between a healthy and a compromised body, and how we adapt to violent change.
