A performance for 6-12 year old children.

PETER, det relativt lilla, svenska trädet will be a new touring work for ages 6 – 12 exploring & confronting racism & xenophobia. Incorporating dance, humour, theatre, visually striking scenography costume & lighting design, & original music. Devised and performed by Robin Dingemans & Peter Mills. The visual & aural design of the work will mirror the strategies of Brazilian Tropicalia movement which combined the popular with the avant garde & local traditional with foreign influences, and was a seminal artistic form of protest against the Brazilian dictatorship.

Robin Dingemans is an independent choreographer, performer and teacher, he has been based in Sweden since 2012. His work centres around innovation and experimentation of creation and production which is often sociologically orientated. He presents a wide variety of works in multiple contexts. His work is often implicitly or explicitly political, including when making work for young audiences. Originally from New Zealand and was based in the UK from 1998 and now works predominantly in Sweden.
