We are pleased to announce a new international residency opportunity for dance artists based in Sweden!
As part of a Québec/Sweden artistic exchange, one artist from Sweden will travel to Québec, Canada, for a residency at Circuit-Est Centre Chorégraphique.
Residency at Circuit-Est Centre Chorégraphique, Montreal, Canada
Period: 1 – 13 March, 2027
Arrival on February 28th and departure on March 13.

Since 2025, Vitlycke-CPA started an exchange program with Circuit-Est, a prestigious choreographic centre in the heart of Montreal, Canada.
Circuit-Est Centre Chorégraphique has been supporting research, creation, and professional development in contemporary dance for nearly 40 years. Each year, it hosts residencies, international exchanges, and classes that offer choreographers and performers a stimulating space to experiment, connect, and share their practice locally and internationally.

Residency in Québec: 1 – 13 March, 2027
Arrival on February 28th and departure on March 13.
A a Swedish artist, will be selected through the Open Call to be in residence at Circus-Est, Centre Chorégraphique in Montréal, Canada, for two weeks. A public presentation may be organised at the end of the residency, creating an opportunity to share the work and creative process with a wider audience, should the artist wish to do so.
In exchange, Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts will host an artist from Québec, in residence at Vitlycke-CPA in Tanumshede, Sweden. The selected Swedish and Canadian artists will meet twice – once during the residency in Sweden and once during the residency in Canada.
Travel, accommodation, per diem, and a stipend for participation are provided.
Applicant eligibility
We are looking for dance professionals (dancers, choreographers) based in Sweden who are working on a solo project or wish to create a new solo work, advance their research, or further develop an existing contemporary dance project. We welcome dance artists who are interested in a collaborative environment and in connecting with the contemporary dance scene in Canada.
