The Beyond Front@ Learning & Exchange Symposium is a two-day event held at Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts as part of the Creative Europe cooperation project Beyond Front@: Bridging Periphery. The event brings together dance school directors and representatives from the Academy of Dramatic Arts Zagreb – Dance Department (Croatia), Hungarian Dance University (Hungary), National Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow (Poland), Swedish dance educations Balettakademien Göteborg and the Stockholm University of the Arts – dance department, and project partners to engage in structured dialogue on the future of dance education in the region.
Through moderated discussions, peer exchange and collective reflection, participants will review the lessons learned during the project, address current challenges faced by dance education in peripheral contexts, and jointly explore new perspectives and possibilities for future collaboration, capacity building and knowledge exchange within the contemporary dance field.
The symposium represents a key reflective and knowledge-sharing moment within the project, strengthening transnational dialogue and contributing to the long-term development of sustainable models for dance education in Central European region.
The project Beyond Front@: Bridging Periphery is implemented by a transnational consortium: CEDT – Central European Dance Theatre, Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts (Sweden), Krakow Dance Theatre (Poland), M Studio (Romania), BUNKER (Slovenia), and Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance (Croatia).
