A human interaction based dance piece focusing on human behavior and

the everyday struggles the human life contains. With help from stuffed
animals, in psychology called transitional objects, as players against
and with humanity, the ordinary will transition from mundane reality to
existential fantasy.

The premiere of the performance will take place at 3:e Våningen,

Gothenburg in 2026.

Hannah Karlsson works since over 10 years as a choreographer and dancer in
Gothenburg.
She is a versatile dancer who moves between everything from
deep seriousness to lighthearted playfulness. In her creative work and
exploration of movement, Hannah focuses on emotional and spatial
in-betweens, places of will or compulsion, as well as waiting and
striving. She investigates the transition from contemporary dance into
the performative interpretation of states of being. From emotion
specific situations where logic is overruled she looks to what the body
needs in movement and non movement. Most recently shown in her short
excerpt ’Vitt och Fräscht’ this spring through Danskompaniet Spinn
and before that her solo piece ’No News’ from 2023.

She works recurringly with the choreographers Olof Persson and Gun

Lund. Hannah has also collaborated with Eva Ingemarsson, Gunilla Olsson
Karlsson, Mari Vittradotter, among others. Since 2022 she is partly
employed as a dancer at Danskompaniet Spinn.

In November 2022, Hannah was awarded the Adlerbertska Art Scholarship

by Sällskapet Gnistan for her humorous, thoughtful, and serious work
and presence in the art of dance.
