workshop: orchestrating spaces — thunderegg

workshop by sharon estacio (US/PH/IT) and giovanna rovedo (IT)

31.07

Longtime collaborators in dance and artistic research, Sharon Estacio and Giovanna Rovedo invite you into Thunderegg, a workshop rooted in their current project Orchestrating Spaces — a performative meditation on identity, place, and presence.
The work explores human belonging in space and time, and is supported by a Perform Europe 2024–2025 grant.

When: 31 July
Where: Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts

Currently touring across Italy, Sweden, and Finland, the duo welcomes local dance artists to join them for the Thunderegg workshop at Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts on 31 July.
A public performance of Orchestrating Spaces will follow on 1 August at 19:00.

Workshop: Thunderegg
In Thunderegg, participants will engage in key practices that informed the making of Orchestrating Spaces.
We begin with the body — our first inhabited space — and expand outward through a layered exploration of identity, space, and perception. Through movement, writing, and improvisation, the workshop supports a close dialogue between self, context, and collective dynamics. Individual experiences are deepened through group interaction and paired work.
In alignment with the Perform Europe partnership’s focus on accessibility, the workshop also investigates how inclusive tools can be woven into creative practice.

About the Artists
Sharon Estacio and Giovanna Rovedo are dance artists with backgrounds in anthropology and holistic health. Since 2015, their collaboration has explored the fluidity of identity in transnational and transcultural contexts, using their performative bodies as both agents and observers of social and geographical transformation.
