After this Babylon is a dance work acting the nature of nature, where cycles, details and layers that exist in nature can be found and reinvented in dance. Scenes flow like the seasons, and the seasons give us perspective to reflect.
The abstract composition of human movements functions both as an example of, and as metaphors for, nature.
We are inviting our audiences into a dreamlike, capturing, heavy, yet safe journey, which takes the unrelenting changing of seasons and transforms them into something distant and beautiful, like a storm seen from afar.
Anna Hallqvist, Vilda Palmkvist and Atte Rimpelä paths crossed at Balettakademien Göteborg. Their shared interest lies in the organic movement between dancers, and they actively explore democratic creative processes, which often result in unpredictable and, in their view, compelling choreographic choices.
Anna will graduate from BA in June 2025.
Vilda is doing a bachelor in dance and choreography at The Danish National School of Performing Arts, graduating 2026.
Atte works as a movement artist within dance, circus and theater.
