Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts announces two production residencies for artists in Sweden that are working in the fields of contemporary dance and performing arts. Residencies take place 3-16 April, 2023 at Vitlycke-CPA.
Production residency is intended for new aspiring professional dancers, choreographers, stage artists and dance companies who want to create a completely new or further develop a previous performance. We especially welcome cross-border production projects that integrate other art forms into the work (visual arts, music, new media). The application is open to professional artists and companies in contemporary dance and performing arts active in Sweden. Deadline for applications is 26 February.
When and where?
We offer two residencies for two productions:
1. Residence I: 3-16 April 2023
Small studio at Vitlycke-CPA. The studio is 87m2, suitable for smaller performing arts productions.
2. Residency II: 3-16 April 2023
Large studio at Vitlycke-CPA. The 227m2 studio is a black box equipped with light and sound systems and a stand for the audience.

Each residency is for a maximum of 4 people. The residency includes accommodation, rehearsal space (small studio or large studio at Vitlycke-CPA) and a travel allowance of up to SEK 4,000. During the residency, it is possible to book a feedback meeting with choreographer Francesco Scavetta.
During the residency, it is possible to organize a public activity for local community (e.g. work in progress display, after-talk, pre-talk, workshop).

The application must include:
- Project description of the production you want to develop during the residency;
- CV or description of artist/company applying for residency;
- Links to video material and websites.
Answer/notification if your production is chosen for the residency will be announced on 6 March.
