For the first time Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts welcomes an international festival to guest the centre with intentive training residency. Under four weeks a group of dancers from “First Light” festival will work with researchers and artists whose work focuses on exploration of body.
First Light Platform
First Light platform focuses on the evolution in dance and artistic contexts in this era. Accordingly, it provides its members a space to explore and shape their insight. Using bodies as medium, First Light has always been dedicated in providing creative environment, artistic dialogue and developing individuality, while cross the boundary from the restrictions burdened by disciplinary and culture. #BODY MEETS WORLD
2019 First Light Intensive Immersive
For 2019 Immersive Training at First Light, it focus on the idea of #WISE BODY | WISE MIND#, with six body-related researchers and artists Ria Higler, Francesco Scavetta, Michael Maurissens, Robert Hayden, Jiaming Wang and Man Wei to involve in. They will share and practice their unique training methods with the participants in the path of body perception, physical capacity, video laboratory, theatrical creation and critical thinking to identify and develop the potential and creativity of every individual in support of their further study and growth.
