During the residency at Vitlycke Centre, aiina aïon will work on her new project, a site-specific-performance called “Metamorphoses – the forgotten art of transformation”. Residency is organized in collaboration with Kultur Väst.
aiina aïon is a multidisciplinary artist based in Västra Götaland, Sweden. She works in a broad field of choreography, music, performance art and theatre. Her practice is often site specific and explores questions of ipseity and the horizon of possibility. In this piece she works together with contemporary dancer Linus Sundqvist and the two other musicians Anders Grönberg & Carl Carlström.
Metamorphoses – the forgotten art of transformation
“Metamorphoses” is a site-specific performance which takes place in the remnants of the industrialism. In an echo of a vanished age which constituted the technological starting point of the anthropocene paradigm. In an almost ritual introspection we get to meet modern man in struggle with oneself, their place in the world and the lost connection with nature.
